3MT FAQ

3MT is offered in 2 time sessions depending on your country. Please check with your SIMCC Country Council Partner (CCP) for the exact session.

  1. 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm – Singapore time
  2. 8:00 pm to 9:30 pm – Singapore time

3MT is an individual round competition and conducted online from home.

3MT ranking is not by country but based on your score compared to other global competitors, so if you are in the top 8% for your grade level, you will get the Gold Award.

  • Next 12% will be awarded Silver,
  • Next 20% will be awarded Bronze,
  • Next 10% will be awarded Honorable Mention

You will be required to share your screen and have a second camera monitoring you.

We highly recommend looking at past MathCounts and BmMT tests as these are similar to the problems in 3MT.
